Important note — ILP’s Lithuanian program has been closed.

We have made the difficult decision to, for the time being, close our program in Lithuania. At the start of the 2020 pandemic, schools and businesses around the country were forced to shut their doors in an effort to contain the virus. Although we had hopes to resume in Lithuania once circumstances allowed, our small program here has encountered roadblocks resulting in the decision made with our local partners to close the program. We have loved getting to know this part of the world and the people here and share your disappointment. We will continue to watch for updates that may allow us to resume our program here and will make any announcements on Instagram.

In the meantime, we recommend looking into volunteering in the orphanage program in Romania or teaching English in Poland, where you can get similar European experiences. We have also included an option on the application where you can let us know if you’re interested in potentially switching to Lithuania if spots open up by the time your semester starts.
